About Emery
Meet Emery, aka Emmy. This charming Greyhound and American Staffordshire Terrier mix weighs in at 47 lbs, and she was born on September 19, 2024. Emery is a beautiful young lady with a playful spirit. She's known for loving dress-up and even had two costumes for Halloween—a vampire and a witch—because she adores posing for photos. A recent outing with a volunteer revealed her gentle nature; she takes treats carefully, showing her docile temperament with those she trusts. Treats are great for training as she’s quite motivated by them. Whether it’s car rides or outdoor adventures, Emery is up for anything, though she often needs a patient touch to help her feel secure in new situations. Currently in foster care with other dogs, she enjoys their company and playtime, displaying plenty of energy perfect for hiking or running alongside you. She would do best with someone willing to help her channel that energy positively while showing her that life can be fun and safe. Rescued just in time from a county shelter that was overcrowded, Emery was fortunate to escape a grim fate. Now fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, she is also potty and kennel trained.
