About Pirate

Pirate is a young male American Shorthair looking for a new home after being adopted in October 2025. He’s blind, yet doesn't let that hold him back; this little guy is full of energy and loves to play hard. His current family realized that his active style became too much for their senior cat, leading them to seek an environment where he can thrive. Despite his blindness, Pirate adjusts effortlessly. He navigates his surroundings like a pro, relying on his keen senses. His affectionate nature shines through as he seeks companionship—preferably with playful feline friends or a dedicated human partner. Having had a rough start in life, he’s a survivor who has overcome a lot. Once found with only one intact eye, his second eye had to be removed when it detached. Now, he acts just like any playful kitten would, enjoying interactions, sounds from outside, and cuddles galore. His medium-length coat has a lovely pattern and feels softer by the day. He’s still a little guy but will likely be on the smaller side as an adult. Ideally, he’d thrive with another cat to keep him company or a person who can spend ample time playing with him each day. He can become lonely without regular interaction. Given his unique needs, it’s best if he finds a home without dogs, as he can’t defend himself properly. Interestingly, Pirate has formed a bond with a 5-month-old pup named Lina, so under the right circumstances, he may be able to live with a gentle dog. This affectionate feline is currently located in Ladonia, TX. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
