Meet Abel, the latest addition to the House of Hope family. This 2-year-old Labrador Retriever is a large, 72-pound sweetheart who gets along well with both kids and other dogs. After an unfortunate owner surrender, he found his way to us before heading to a full-capacity shelter in North Carolina. Despite being a little shy at first, Abel quickly reveals his affectionate nature and has been called a "love bug" by our staff. Thankfully, heβs heartworm negative, so heβs ready for a fresh start in a loving home. With his short coat, Abel is a handsome yellow/tan companion who is house trained and ready to bring joy into your life. Letβs find him the perfect family to shower him with the love he truly deserves.
