About Mira

Mira is a remarkable German Shepherd who was found as a stray in the Central Valley. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and diabetic, putting her on the euthanasia list due to the lack of resources for her care. Luckily, a compassionate volunteer recognized her plight and brought her into foster care, where she’s now receiving the treatment she desperately needs. Despite being almost completely blind, Mira navigates her surroundings with courage and trust in her humans. She's friendly with other dogs and is learning to interact with cats. Mira is a joyful, affectionate companion who loves to cuddle, often thinking she’s a lap dog. She thrives on attention and is eager to find a forever home where she can continue to receive the love and care she deserves.
