About Chippy
Meet Chippy, a sweet little guy on a journey to trust again. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky, he came to us after his owners abandoned him. Chippy was understandably scared, having experienced unkindness that left him wary of people. When he arrived, he struggled to accept a collar, as anything around his neck brought back memories of fear. But in just a short time, he’s shown incredible progress. Spending quiet moments with him, I watched as his eyes softened. He now happily trots beside me on a leash and even climbs into my lap seeking affection. Chippy is friendly with other dogs and is learning that life can be safe and joyful. However, he needs an adopter who is patient and experienced, someone who understands that gainful trust takes time. Chippy isn’t mean—he’s just a frightened little heart who wants to love. If you have the kindness to help him heal, he will reward you with a special bond only a rescued dog can offer. Could you be the person he’s been waiting for?
