Meet Jesse! This sweet little lady is a four-year-old poodle mix, weighing just under 20 lbs, making her a delightful small companion. At first, she plays shy and keeps her distance, but with a little patience, she warms up and shows her true colors. After only a few days at the shelter, she has started to come out of her shell. Jesse enjoys her walks and quickly becomes a loyal velcro pup, sticking close to her favorite person once she bonds. Jesse has lived with at least one other dog before and has shown no issues cohabiting with other dogs here. However, she’s a bit spooked by restless, energetic pups. She does well with cats too, especially those that are dog-savvy, though she might get frightened if one tries to act aggressively. Because of her shy nature, we recommend a home with children aged 12 and over. Once Jesse realizes you’re worth the effort, she’ll want to be by your side, curling up in your lap or just watching the world around her. Be prepared for daily walks and regular grooming, as this intelligent girl thrives on mental stimulation to avoid anxiety. With proper care and affection, Jesse will be a loving companion.
