Meet Ammy, short for Amtrack! This adorable young lady is a suspected beagle/lab mix, weighing in at 35 lbs. Although her exact breed is a guess, one thing is clear: she is 100% lovable. Ammy's journey has been anything but smooth. For the first years of her life, she lived in a challenging environment near train tracks and busy semi-truck routes in Miami, all while raising her litter of puppies. Thankfully, advocates saved her puppies during a severe cold snap and returned to rescue Ammy, who was wise enough to navigate her hazardous surroundings. After spending four months in a safe environment, she has had the chance to decompress and learn what it means to be a cherished pet. Now, Ammy has truly blossomed. She is housebroken, walks wonderfully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs. Her affectionate nature shines through as she absolutely adores people, especially children, eagerly accepting all the head scratches and love she missed in her previous life. Ammy has attended adoption events and proved to be a total rockstar. This sweet girl is not only the perfect size but also ready to find her forever home.
