About Venus
Meet Venus! Her first week in rescue included round-the-clock hospital care with IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication. She's a survivor with a likely past as a bait dog for fighting, which is tragically common. While we won’t share her original adoption photos publicly, interested adopters can view them upon request. Venus is a 1-year-old pocket pitbull with soft tan fur and the most adorable short legs. Now weighing 29 pounds, she's perfect for cuddles and will remain on the petite side, perhaps gaining just a bit more. Currently, she is undergoing the slow kill method of heartworm treatment. This little lady gets along wonderfully with other dogs and thrives in their company. While she's not a fan of cats, her loyalty, affection, and sweet nature make her a companion worth having. Venus is excited to brighten someone’s life. Could that someone be you?
