Meet Stella! This 4-year-old female Chow Chow is a lovely soul who weighs around 40 pounds. Despite what she's endured, Stella greets everyone with gentle kindness and a sweet spirit. After suffering from significant pain caused by a damaged eye, she has made a remarkable recovery following surgery to remove it. Now, she's discovering what it means to live pain-free. Stella may be a bit shy at first, but she quickly becomes affectionate once she feels safe. She loves being petted and brushed, soaking up every bit of love she gets. Her delightful manners make her easy to handle; she’s house trained, walks well on a leash, and rides quietly in the car. The veterinary staff can attest to her calm demeanor and affectionate nature. Though she doesn’t seem to enjoy the company of female dogs, she’s shown no reaction to males and happily ignores outdoor cats. Toys are still a new experience for her, indicating she has yet to fully embrace her playful side. Now that she’s on the mend, we’re excited to help her explore the joy of play.
