About Garnet
Meet Garnet, a beautiful young dog with a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. She came to the Fort Defiance Humane Society as a stray and has yet to find her forever home after being unclaimed by her previous family. Garnet is incredibly sweet and snuggly but takes a little time to warm up to new people and environments. A gentle approach, along with a soft voice and a treat, works wonders in winning her over. She has already charmed our staff and is starting to bond with our volunteers. Though she's indifferent toward the other dogs at the shelter, she has yet to meet any resident cats. Given her calm and submissive nature, we suspect she won’t be confrontational at all. Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for Garnet, but we believe she will truly thrive in a nurturing and patient home. This lovely girl deserves the chance to relax and be her true self once she finds her family. Scheduled to be spayed and microchipped, Garnet is heartworm negative and fully vaccinated. She's around 60 lbs, just the right size for a cozy companion.
