Currently based in Akron, OH, she would thrive in a small space with a securely fenced yard to help her feel safe. Although she currently isn’t listed with a weight, her size would suit any cozy home. Honey also gets along with dogs and cats, making her a sweet addition for the right family.
About Honey
Meet Honey! Honey is a 3½-year-old sweetheart with the gentlest soul. She has come a long way but is still learning that the world can be a safe place. Because of this, she’s looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will allow her to adjust at her own pace. Honey adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to guide her. She also gets along well with cats and is wonderful in her crate. Being an extremely timid girl, Honey will need several weeks—possibly longer—to fully decompress in a new home. New people can be overwhelming for her, and earning her trust will take time. Her future family should expect that she might not be comfortable with touch right away, and that’s perfectly okay. Giving her the space and patience she needs will help her build confidence and foster an incredible bond when she’s ready. Currently, Honey requires medication to help manage her anxiety, which has been beneficial for her. Given her sensitive nature, she would do best in a quiet home without children. A securely fenced yard is also preferred, offering her a safe space to explore and gain confidence. Honey isn’t seeking a perfect home—she’s looking for the right one. If you understand that love isn’t always instant and are willing to let her blossom on her own terms, you'll be rewarded with one of the most loyal companions you could ask for.
