About Bear

Meet Bear! With a stunning chestnut and reddish-brown coat and soulful eyes, Bear is the kind of puppy who turns heads everywhere he goes. At 7 months old and around 40 pounds, he is expected to grow to about 55 pounds. He is blossoming into an incredible companion with the makings of a fantastic family dog. Bear's early months were challenging, as he spent them in a concrete backyard with little exposure to the outside world. Nevertheless, he's demonstrating every day that love and patience can make a big difference. His foster notes that Bear is brimming with potential. He is sensitive, affectionate, and eager to learn. He's already crate trained, has mastered 'sit' and 'fetch', and is learning his name. Highly food motivated, Bear thrives on positive reinforcement and will flourish with a family dedicated to building his confidence. Bear enjoys the company of other dogs, is cat friendly, and adores children. He has a warm heart and has never met a stranger. His favorite toys include balls and stuffed animals, and he's quirky enough to sit and watch TV with you. At home, Bear loves the simple things in life: short walks, lounging in the shade, and rolling over for belly rubs. As a typical puppy, he has bursts of playful energy but quickly settles down for cuddles. He is making progress with house training. While still learning when to alert his people, he seeks out a pee pad if he can't get outside. Bear, being a young Doodle, will need regular grooming and appears to be low to non-shedding, though his father's shedding status is unknown. Bear's ideal home includes an active family with a securely fenced backyard and the time to continue his training, socialization, and adventures. He’s eager to please and has all the ingredients to become an exceptional lifelong companion. Bear has already come a long way, and now he’s just waiting for the family who will help him discover how wonderful life can truly be. Could that family be yours? The adoption fee is $550.
