About Davidson
Meet Davidson, a beautiful 7-year-old, 72-pound American Bulldog mix. When he first arrived at the Oklahoma City shelter, he was terrified and on the brink of euthanasia, refusing to engage with those around him. Within a couple of hours of being rescued, he transformed into a loving companion, eager for affection and reassurance. Davidson has faced challenges, including heartworm treatment, and now he’s ready for a forever home where he can feel safe and loved. He thrives in a calm environment and needs patient owners who will respect his boundaries. While he is crate trained and housebroken, he can be fearful during car rides and with new people, so some additional care, such as trazadone for travel, is advisable. A home without children under 10 would be ideal for him. He gets along well with calm dogs after a proper introduction and can be tested with cats if necessary. Davidson is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. If you think you might be the perfect fit for this gentle boy, complete an application with the rescue to set up a meet and greet.
