About Sam
Meet Sam, a 16-pound, 3-year-old Miniature Poodle with the most charming bi-color eyes. After years spent as a breeding dog with little human interaction, Sam is now discovering the joys of family life, and heโs thriving! Sam, affectionately called 'his shadow' by his foster mom, is a curious and loving boy who gets along well with dogs, cats, and most humans. He still feels a bit uncertain around men but is making progress every day. Enjoying walks and playdates with neighborhood puppies, Sam shines on a leash and would benefit from a fenced yard to explore safely. He's crate trained but prefers snuggling up beside his foster mom at night. Though he's still mastering house training, he's proudly wearing his belly bands. Having another confident dog around would help Sam continue to learn about family dynamics, and he would thrive in a home where someone is present most of the time. Sam is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, although he did need a dental procedure that left him with some missing teeth. This wonโt stop him from enjoying his meals, but smaller kibble might be easier for him. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will always stick by your side, Sam is ready to be your new best friend!
