Mara is a wonderful dog with a heart of gold. At around 3 years old, she's a Lab/Plott Hound mix and has faced some tough times. After caring for 11 puppies earlier this year, she overcame eclampsia and Lyme disease, making her recovery truly inspiring. Now spayed, she’s ready for her forever home where she can leave her past behind. Currently fostered on a farm, Mara is adapting well to her surroundings, including the chickens, dogs, and cats. She loves rides in the car and is eager for adventures, whether it's hiking, swimming in the river, or just long drives. Mara fits well in a family environment and gets along with kids, dogs, and cats; however, her foster parents are teaching her about food guarding.
