About Nina Ricotta

Nina Ricotta is a resilient 14-year-old Shih Tzu with a heartwarming story. After being a stray and repeatedly found, she finally found her way to the San Diego Humane Society. Her owner, unfortunately, had to surrender her due to health challenges. Since arriving at Frosted Faces on June 4th, she has shown remarkable growth. Initially shy and scared, Nina has begun to reveal her sweet and playful personality during her Frosted Fling. She may hunker down when approached, but once she feels comfortable, she gets playful and loves pets. Lap time and belly rubs are her favorites, and she's a charming companion who greets you with joyful little barks. Despite her age, Nina is mellow, sleeps well through the night, and is house trained, making her an ideal cuddle buddy. Her interactions with other small dogs have been positive, and she truly enjoys being part of a pack. Currently, she’s in her second fling, waiting for her forever home. Watch out for the videos showing her joyful antics in the yard and cozy moments indoors. Could you be the loving family Nina has been waiting for? Click apply to start the adoption process.
