At 4 years old, Victoria is a stunning 70-pound mix of Golden Retriever and German Shepherd, boasting a distinctive long snoot and an adorable "Heinz 57" look. With a heart as big as her paws, her favorite activities include belly rubs, cuddles, and being close to her people. Victoria’s journey began when she entered a Mississippi shelter as a stray with her brother, Victor. During a visit, her future foster mom chose her for a shelter day out, captivated by her gentle spirit. They bonded over a park walk, dog-friendly lunch, and numerous treats. A heartfelt goodbye turned into a promise to reunite, and with the help of Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets Rescue, they did. Victoria traveled to Maryland through tough weather conditions and has been thriving ever since. This girl is the total package: house-trained, doesn't need a crate, has great manners and rarely barks. She enjoys stuffed toys and is respectful of her space, getting along well with other dogs. Though she loves to play, she's a lower-energy girl who walks well on a leash and rides beautifully in the car. New people or unexpected noises might make her timid, but thunderstorms and fireworks don’t bother her at all. When bedtime rolls around, she transforms into a world-class cuddle bug, eager to curl up beside you if there’s room on the bed. Victoria is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and finishing her heartworm treatment, adored by her veterinary team for her calm demeanor.
