About Big Bear

Meet Big Bear! True to his name, Big Bear is the biggest puppy in his litter and he embodies the gentle giant spirit. At around 10-12 weeks and weighing just under 15 pounds, this sweet boy is projected to grow into a striking 45-65 pound adult. Found as a stray in California’s Central Valley, he came to us with no one looking for him, which truly is their loss. His delightful personality shines through with an easygoing nature; he’s like Eeyore in puppy form—calm, gentle, a bit goofy, and happiest when cuddled up with his humans. Though he’s still a baby, Big Bear has begun to learn about the world. While he hasn’t had formal training, he is smart and eager to please, promising to pick up commands quickly with patience and positive reinforcement. As of now, he’s not house or crate trained yet, but that’s just the nature of young puppies. With ongoing puppy vaccine series over the next six weeks, he'll be ready to explore safely soon, so finding a loving home now is ideal. Big Bear’s perfect family would have a home with a securely fenced backyard, be active, and have the commitment to training and socialization. Ideally, he would thrive with another friendly dog to boost his confidence. If you've always wanted to nurture a loyal, affectionate companion from the ground up, Big Bear is ready to snuggle in your heart and likely take your favorite spot on the couch.
