At around 10-12 weeks old, Petey currently tips the scales at just under 14 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, likely landing somewhere between 40-60 pounds. Petey's journey started as a stray in California's Central Valley, where he waited for a family that never came. Luckily, he's now enjoying the comforts of foster care, and his silly, affectionate nature shines brighter every day. Full of curiosity and confidence, he loves to wrestle with other dogs, chase after toys, and then snuggle up for a well-deserved snooze. This intelligent pup is just beginning his training journey, learning about house and crate training, alongside basic manners. His new family should be committed to continuing this training, ensuring he gets plenty of socialization and both mental and physical stimulation as he grows. Petey will complete his puppy vaccine series over the next several weeks and is eager to explore the world safely when the time comes. His ideal home would feature a securely fenced backyard and an active family ready for all the joys of puppyhood—bonus points if there's another playful dog to help burn off his energy!
