About Ernest Arriving D

Meet Ernest, a cheerful companion with a delightful waddle. He loves to spread joy with his goofy antics and an affectionate nature. Though he was found as a stray, Ernest quickly warms up to new people and thrives on attention and love. He prefers a laid-back lifestyle, enjoying lounge time over rambunctious games. This sweet boy gets along well with other dogs and would appreciate a canine buddy in his new home, although heโ€™s fine on his own if need be. Heโ€™s been making great strides with potty training and is food motivated, which aids in his learning. While Ernest is still getting used to leash training, heโ€™s quite vocal in communicating his needs. Having done well with older kids, he would thrive with those who understand his gentle nature. Ernest is learning to enjoy brushing as he gains confidence. If you want a loving dog with a happy demeanor and a relaxed vibe, Ernest is eager to meet you! Currently in Texas, Ernest will arrive in Minnesota on 7/11/2026. He will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN during designated hours. Since he hasnโ€™t arrived yet, he is available exclusively through the Foster to Adopt program. Ernest is also undergoing heartworm treatment, requiring activity restrictions for a few weeks.
