Spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations, she’s ready for her forever home and is already potty trained. Athena embodies the classic husky traits: she’s intelligent, playful, opinionated, and full of love. Always looking to be in the thick of things, she often enters a room with a burst of energy, happily pushing doors (and sometimes people) out of the way. While she's kennel trained, a sturdy crate is best since Athena enjoys testing the limits of wire crates when feeling adventurous. Huskies will be huskies! Dog-friendly, Athena prefers companions her size or smaller. After some slow introductions, she got along well with a calm senior Labrador. Respectful canine friends suit her best. On the food front, she has quite the diva-like attitude. Athena enjoys a large meal once a day and selectively eats, often leaving kibble behind for only the tastiest bits. She's quite certain that only bowls suit her—she once got her head stuck in a water jug just to avoid drinking from a bucket. A true furniture enthusiast, Athena loves to hop from couch to couch, claiming her favorite spot. If your house doesn't allow dogs on the furniture, Athena may not be the best fit for you. After finding her way to a caring family who kept her off the streets, she quickly bonded with their teenagers, displaying her loving and affectionate nature.
