About Snowy
Meet Snowy, a loving dog on a journey of recovery. Rescued from a severe hoarding situation, she faced neglect and deprivation before entering foster care. Although physically healed, Snowy has much to overcome mentally. Initially avoiding contact, she’s made strides in her new environment, moving from her crate to a cozy corner in her kennel. With time, she now makes eye contact and accepts food from her caregiver. However, remnants of her past continue to linger in her behavior. At around 1 year old and about 19 lbs, Snowy needs a calm home with a fenced yard and a dedicated safe space. A patient and gentle human can help her transition from fear to confidence. She should be adopted by someone experienced with semi-feral dogs, who can provide the space and time she needs—and ideally, another calm dog to guide her. Snowy may snap if she feels cornered, emphasizing the importance of understanding and compassion in her journey.
