About Rosie

Rosie is a tiny survivor with a heart full of love. This young Chihuahua mix, weighing just 10 pounds, is ready to find the forever family she truly deserves. She was discovered wandering rural country roads in North Carolina with her friends, likely having been used for breeding. Thankfully, all three are safe now and receiving the care they need. When Rosie arrived in foster care, she was understandably timid. However, with patience and kindness, she has made tremendous progress and continues to blossom daily. Although she may be shy at first, she warms up quickly, becoming a devoted little shadow who adores cuddles and belly rubs. Rosie enjoys being close to her people. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and would thrive in a home with or without another canine companion. Rosie is also good with children. Potty trained and well-behaved in her crate, she might whimper a little initially when crated but settles down quickly. Rosie has recently started treatment for heartworms, but her prognosis is excellent. Burlington County Animal Alliance covers her treatment costs post-adoption, allowing her new family to focus on loving her during her recovery. With her stunning blue eyes and gentle spirit, Rosie is the total package—sweet, affectionate, and eager to give love. All she needs now is a family to show her she’s never alone again. Could she be the one you’ve been waiting for?
