About Gio
Meet Gio! Gio is a charming dog who shows us that the best relationships take time to build. This handsome boy is sweet at heart but understandably shy and cautious when meeting new people. He is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can let him move at his own pace. While he’s not used to walking on a leash yet, a gentle guide will help him discover that the world isn’t as scary as it seems. Once Gio feels safe, his true personality shines through. This once-timid pup transforms into a devoted companion, eager to curl up in your lap or claim a cozy spot on the furniture, often gazing thoughtfully out the window. His favorite place at the shelter is the assistant manager's office chair, where he even earned the playful title of Assistant to the Assistant Manager. Gio isn’t looking for perfection, just someone kind and loving enough to see the incredible dog he is beneath his shyness. For the right person, Gio will be a faithful best friend who never forgets those who believed in him. To meet Gio, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am - 6 pm, and Sunday 11 am - 4 pm. Currently, visits are by appointment only. Please follow the instructions on his profile to apply.
