About Abe

Meet Abe. Abe is a charming orange boy, radiating the unique glow that orange cats are known for, along with a sprinkle of orange cattitude. He was discovered scared and overwhelmed on Ford Road, and he's still on his journey to realize that the world can be a safe space for him. In his foster home, Abe has required time to acclimate. During his first week, he mostly observed the humans from his hideout. By the second week, thanks to his kitty friends, he began to explore, play, and show off his youthful spirit. Though still shy and easily startled, Abe has a sweet, tender side. He enjoys snuggling but may suddenly dart away when he becomes aware of his surroundings—he's learning to trust! This gentle boy needs an adopter with patience, someone who understands that trust must be earned and that he’ll take time to open up. Abe has formed a strong bond with his foster buddy, Dozer. While they don’t have to be adopted together, they would make a delightful duo. He would thrive in a home with another friendly cat or a calm dog who understands his need for confidence. If you have a gentle heart and room for a shy orange boy to blossom, Abe might just be the one for you. Friends of Michigan Animals Rescue ensures all felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated with age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV. Click apply to start the adoption process.
