About Peanut
Meet Peanut, a one-year-old Weimaraner mix affectionately called Little Boy. This charming chocolate brown pup has soft floppy ears and striking amber eyes that clearly reflect his thoughts. He enjoys the company of both dogs and people but consistently opts for some quality cuddle time with humans. Couch naps are Peanut's favorite pastime, and he makes sure to let you know when he needs company with his adorable yet pleading expressions. Peanut is both house trained and crate trained, settling comfortably in his crate for four to eight hours when left alone. While he gets along well with dogs weighing between 30-70 pounds, his rough-and-tumble play style might not mesh with every dog. Though he can grumble if disturbed during a snooze, he has never shown aggression. He does well with older kids, particularly tweens and teens, but may get a bit overly excited around younger children, so close supervision will be beneficial. Peanut has a sensitive stomach, thriving on low-ingredient food, treats, and chews. He loves going for walks and enjoys being outside, although he tends to pull and is best suited with a harness. In parks, a shorter leash comes in handy to prevent him from jumping at runners or children playing. He adores car rides, filling the space with charming little sounds until he calms down and finds his spot. Toys are a big hit for Peanut, especially pouncing toys like squeaky balls, though he prefers stuffing-free ones to avoid chewing up the insides. He also relishes chews and a game of tug-of-war, but he's content to play solo or engage in interactive play by chasing another dog along the fence. In the evenings, he has a calming routine and usually puts himself to bed by 9 p.m. He understands commands like "get in your box" and "no," and is working on "sit" and "shake." Peanut's personality is a delightful mixture of playful antics and gentle companionship. Whether he's sleeping belly-up, chasing after bubbles or butterflies, or blowing bubbles in his water bowl, he brings joy in unique ways. He's looking for a home that appreciates his loving nature and quiet devotion, especially if it involves some cozy couch time. Ready to see if Peanut is the right match for you?
