About Dellwood

Meet Dellwood! This handsome 6.5-year-old domestic long-hair tuxedo has a heart as big as his fluffy cheeks. His journey began when a caring team member noticed him in a backyard colony, initially thought to be the mother of a group of kittens. However, as we soon discovered, he was a dapper tomcat with his own unique story. When we finally trapped Dellwood, we expected a typical feral cat. Instead, he surprised us by sitting calmly, albeit a bit nervous. With some patience, he learned to trust people, revealing a truly wonderful personality. Dellwood has evolved into one of the best caregivers in his colony, always providing comfort and reassurance to nervous companions around him. Dellwood would thrive in a quiet home, ideally with another feline friend. He finds joy and confidence in their company, and we believe heโ€™d flourish with a buddy from his colony or another friendly cat at home. Recently, Dellwood had a dental cleaning and some minor extractions, which improved his comfort immensely. He also has a small scar on his eye from an old infection, but it doesn't bother him. As an FIV positive cat, Dellwood can live a long, healthy life with proper care, and he can coexist with FIV-negative cats as well. Heโ€™s spent too much time caring for others; it's time for someone to care for him. Interested in meeting Dellwood? Fill out our adoption application to get started!
