About Moose

Meet Moose, a young dog who's endured so much but still yearns for kindness. When he arrived at our rescue, his coat was so matted it formed dreadlocks, a sign of his past neglect. Beneath all that, he’s just a pup longing for a gentle touch and some loving attention. Moose is figuring out that he’s safe now, and we’re starting to see hints of his personality—his soft eyes and quiet desire for affection speak volumes. He’s searching for a calm, patient home where he can take his time to decompress and learn what love is, away from the chaos of young children. A steady, predictable environment is crucial as he builds his confidence. Ongoing grooming will be necessary for Moose, and he may initially need sedation due to his fears. But with patience and consistent kindness, we believe he’ll flourish. While we’re unsure about his interactions with other dogs, we're open to a meet and greet with a small dog. Moose is a 3-year-old, 25-pound bundle ready to make a life with a loving adopter. If you have the heart to help a dog find his way back, Moose will truly reward you with something special. His adoption donation is $200, which covers his neuter, vaccines, and microchip. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
