About Leo
Leo's journey began when he, his two brothers, and their mother, Sunny, were found abandoned in a crate on a remote road. A caring Good Samaritan stepped in, giving this little family a chance at a brighter future. Born on March 8, 2026, Leo is a lively puppy currently weighing about 15 pounds. His DNA testing shows that he’s a mix of Chihuahua and Poodle, with a dash of Australian Shepherd from his dad. We expect him to grow to around 25 to 30 pounds. Playful and adventurous, Leo loves to romp around with his brothers and isn't shy about inviting bigger dogs to join in the fun. Whether chasing toys or zipping around the yard, he has an infectious enthusiasm for life. Because he’s still a puppy, Leo needs a family ready to provide the training and guidance necessary to help him grow into a well-rounded adult. He would thrive in a home with older children who can interact respectfully with him. A fenced yard would be ideal for this energetic little guy, as he loves outdoor exploration. Leo enjoys watching barn cats and lets them know he's there with a couple of barks, so a cat-free environment might be best for him. He could be happy as the only dog, as long as his family can dedicate time to him, or with another friendly dog who enjoys playtime. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on preventive care. Puppies over six months old are spayed or neutered through Good Catch; for younger pups, this falls to the adopter. Located in Texas, Good Catch Dog Rescue finds loving homes across several states and works closely with trusted transport partners for safe adoptions. If you're looking for a smart, playful companion to share adventures, Leo could be the perfect addition to your family. Click apply to start the adoption process.
