About Luca
Luca is a tiny Pomeranian with an adventurous spirit that's far larger than his size. Having encountered numerous changes in his early life, Luca tends to be shy at first; he notably prefers women but can gradually warm up to men. He previously shared a home with another small dog, and their bond was a good one. Currently, Luca's foster family is providing him a stable and loving environment as he awaits his perfect home. They are helping him gain some much-needed weight and working on his security by crate training him daily. Although he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, he would much rather share a cozy bed with you. While he enjoys being near his person, Luca sometimes prefers to observe from a safe distance rather than sit on a lap. He walks wonderfully on a leash and loves exploring the outdoors. His potty training is in progress; he's good at going outside but hasn't been neutered yet, which can lead him to mark his territory. Fortunately, the rescue plans to neuter him before adoption. Luca will thrive in a patient home where consistency in training is prioritized. He’s intelligent but a bit stubborn, requiring dedication to help him learn.
