About Peanut
Peanut is a lively 5-week-old Chihuahua mix, currently weighing just 1.5 pounds. While we anticipate he will be a small adult, around 8 to 10 pounds, it's important to remember that growth can have its surprises. Peanut's mom weighs in at 10 pounds and is believed to be a Chihuahua and Italian Greyhound mix, but there's likely some Pug influence too. He came into our care after a challenging start in rural New Mexico, where he and his siblings were born. Peanut is an adorable little ball of energy, eagerly learning from his mom and littermates. He will be ready for adoption on July 9th, and heโs looking for a patient and loving home. Ideally, he would thrive with someone who works from home or has the time to commit to training and socializing him. A family with older children (6+ years) would also be a great fit. It's essential for potential adopters to understand that Peanut will need to attend puppy socialization classes and training sessions. Although Peanut will receive his first puppy shot before adoption, he will require additional vaccines later on. It's crucial for his new family to take him to the vet to ensure he stays healthy and fully vaccinated. Peanut must be neutered, which will be covered by us at the appropriate time. Remember, adopting a puppy means welcoming a whirl of joy and occasional chaos, and with the right guidance, Peanut will grow to be a devoted companion. If Peanut sounds like the perfect match for your family, donโt hesitate to apply! You might just gain your next best friend!
