About Petey
BREAKING NEWS: A uniquely charming little Scruffy Head is ready for adoption, and he's accepting applications! Meet Petey, a 1-year-old Schnauzer mix, possibly a Schnoodle, weighing in at 20 pounds of scruffy perfection. This professional couch cuddler is all about being a good boy. Petey came to the Fat Head Foster Family after his previous family could no longer care for him. Their loss is about to transform into someone’s lucky story. He’s kid approved, dog approved, and cat approved. Petey has a knack for making friends with all kinds of creatures. He’s comfortable around big dogs, little dogs, and humans of all ages, though he may be a tad shy at first. He’s well house trained and crate trained, but let’s not pretend he prefers sleeping in a crate; he believes beds are meant for sharing and is eager to show you his snuggling skills at night. His Schnauzer coat means minimal shedding, so your dark clothes can finally take a break from dog hair. He rides like a gentleman in the car and is polishing his leash skills — progress takes time. Sunbathing, perfecting his couch potato lifestyle, and always being near his people are just a few of his hobbies. Plus, he looks at you like you’ve hung the moon. Petey is fully equipped for his forever home: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and on heartworm prevention. If your couch feels too empty or your lap is getting cold, Petey is here to add some warmth, joy, and plenty of adorable scruff. Fair warning: adopting Petey may lead to excessive smiling, missing blankets, and the question, ‘Who’s a good boy?’ being uttered at least 47 times daily.
