About Luna
Meet Luna, the little Havanese mix who embodies a gentle spirit and a heart that’s just beginning to understand love. Having spent much of her early life as a breeding dog, she’s still discovering that people can be kind and safe. Luna isn't the type to leap into your lap right away; she needs someone special who understands that building trust takes time. In the weeks since she joined her foster home, Luna has begun to show her true personality. She’s recently found the joy of zoomies, and watching her race around filled with newfound confidence is a delight. Each day, she becomes a little more comfortable, content, and trusting. Luna does well with the small dogs in her foster home, finding comfort in their company. To help her continue to flourish, a home with another friendly small dog is ideal. This quiet girl prefers a calm environment and is sensitive to loud noises. You’ll often find her lounging on the couch, keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings. She uses her crate happily, especially during mealtime. Due to some food guarding behaviors, she enjoys eating inside her crate and often returns there to savor special treats. Luna is making good strides with house training, going outside to potty regularly, though she’s still learning the ins and outs of the doggy door. While she’s not yet playing with toys, she’s on a journey to becoming a cherished family pet. Patience and understanding are key, as she needs time to adjust. Adopters should be prepared that while Luna won’t be an immediate cuddle bug, she will reward you for your trust and dedication in the most meaningful ways. Luna is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the most rewarding relationships are worth the wait. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
