About Jackie

Jackie is a vibrant and playful Pit Bull Terrier mix who has recently found herself in a more welcoming environment. Just 24 hours into her new foster home, she quickly made herself comfortable, showing affection by hugging her transport driver goodbye. She loves to play, especially with her large Jolly Ball, and has met other dogs politely through the fence. Over the past few months, Jackie faced an uncertain future at a Bay Area shelter, overlooked time and again. Despite the care and attention from staff and volunteers, the stress of kennel life took a toll. She was transferred to Miranda's Rescue in April, where a group of donors stepped up to cover her transport fee. Tragically, shortly after her arrival, many dogs at that location were killed in a brutal situation linked to ongoing investigations. Thankfully, Jackie was rescued just in time. Now in a loving foster home, she’s already shown how affectionate and well-adjusted she can be. Jackie is house trained, and her short coat shines in the light of her new surroundings. This 55-pound sweetheart is about 2 years old and is ready to find her forever home soon. If you think she could be the companion for you, don’t hesitate to apply!
