About Widow

Widow is a 3-year-old female mixed breed who has had quite a journey. Found running through Juniata Park on June 14, 2026, she was brought to the shelter the next day. Her previous finder described her as a "friendly quiet" dog, and the shelter volunteers certainly agree with that sentiment. She shows a lovely social demeanor, always looking for human companionship and expressing herself with loose, wiggly body language. Easy to leash and gentle with treats, Widow enjoys walking outdoors and exploring her surroundings. She does well meeting other dogs, though her focus can shift to people and new environments, showing her eagerness to socialize. Widow has some medical concerns, particularly with her ears, so she is in urgent need of a rescue partner or an experienced adopter who can support her through her journey. Despite this, her affectionate nature and desire for regular enrichment make her a wonderful companion. Widow is currently at risk of euthanasia and must find a placement by June 25. She provides a sweet and loving presence, and her future could be bright with the right support. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
