Meet Mango & Kiwi, two bonded best friends who are searching for their forever home together. Rescued as strays in Houston, Texas, these gentle boys have found refuge in a local shelter, where they received the love and care they desperately needed. At about three years old, Mango and Kiwi can be shy and timid at first. Kiwi is the quicker one to warm up, while Mango tends to take a bit more time to build trust. However, once they feel safe, their affectionate sides come out. They approach gently and often thank you with sweet licks, ready to share their love. What they truly need is patience and a family willing to let them settle in at their own pace. These boys are sweet and loving, enjoying the company of people and reveling in attention. They thrive on walks and outdoor adventures, curious explorers at heart. In foster care, they’ve adapted well, showcasing their playful side while remaining well-mannered and eager to please. They do best in a calm environment, where love and consistency reign to help them flourish. Both boys travel well in the car and love toys of all kinds. They get along with other dogs, but they're unsure about cats. Ideal families would understand their need for a gentle approach as they adjust, leading to a truly rewarding companionship. We’d love for Mango and Kiwi to stay together, but if separated, we seek homes filled with kindness and experience with shy dogs. Mango & Kiwi are crate and potty trained, walking nicely on a leash and improving with routine and patience. They are both neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, with vet records indicating they’ve received excellent care.
