About Belle

Meet Belle. Belle is a wonderful 9-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever seeking a loving forever home. She recently faced significant changes when her longtime owner was seriously injured in a car accident, leaving her in need of a new family. After spending time in boarding, Belle found her way to a foster home, where she has quickly proven to be a fantastic companion. Despite her age, Belle has the energy and spirit of a younger dog. She's healthy, well-cared-for, and has many joyful years left to share. Here are some highlights about Belle: - Sweet, smart, and eager to please. - Great with other dogs and adaptable to both single or multi-pet homes. - Housebroken and low energy; she’s easy to live with. - An excellent car rider who loves road trips! - Knows how to sit and learns new routines quickly. - Potty trained, going outside and coming right back in to stay close. - Microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. A few important notes: - Not crate trained. - Pulls on the leash a bit when excited. - Not suitable for a home with cats; while she might tolerate dog-savvy adult cats, it's not recommended. Belle weighs 87 pounds and deserves a family that will cherish her. Despite what she's been through, her sweet spirit remains unchanged, and all she longs for now is a cozy place to call home and loving people around her. Fostered in Hartselle, Alabama, Belle is available through Friends of Rescue. Click apply to start the adoption process.
