This charming 1-year-old Labrador mix, weighing about 45 pounds, has a gentle nature that asks for a bit of patience and understanding. After her journey from living with her littermates to navigating unfamiliar surroundings in California, Shelby arrived feeling scared and unsure. However, once she feels comfortable, a delightful companion emerges. She thrives on trust and responds well to kindness, becoming devoted to her favorite people. Shelby enjoys the company of other dogs and loves treats and chew toys. She's got great house manners and walks nicely on a leash. While she has some playful tendencies, she would prefer to be the only dog in the household where she can soak up all the attention. A soft dog bed at night is preferable, and though she’s crate trained, she’d love to curl up somewhere cozy instead.
