About Susie

Meet Susie, a regal lady with a heart full of kindness. She found her way to us from a local shelter, where she faced serious challenges, including the loss of her friend who was euthanized before we could intervene. At around 4-5 years old, Susie has lived a tough life, coming in at 60 lbs but needing to gain about 10 more to reach her ideal weight. Susie is likely a Great Pyrenees mix, showing sweetness and gentleness in her demeanor. Despite her past, she is friendly and has been great with other dogs and children. Susie craves kindness and companionship and is learning to trust again. She will be participating in the Paws in Prison program, where she will brush up on her basics and confidence skills. We hope to find her a loving home where she can continue to thrive after she graduates. Located in Arkansas, Susie is available for adoption here or to New England adopters who can arrange transport to PA, NJ, or CT. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on preventative medication. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
