Meet Wallee, The Sweetest Storyteller Around! Wallee came to the rescue in early November 2025. He was originally trapped as part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) effort, but his rough condition and incredibly friendly personality quickly changed those plans. From the moment we met him, it was clear that Wallee belonged indoors, surrounded by people who would love him as much as he loves them. When Wallee arrived, he was unneutered, looking a little worse for wear, and had slow-healing wounds at the base of his tail that required ongoing wound care and antibiotics. Despite everything he had already endured, he remained affectionate, gentle, and eager for attention. In late November, Wallee faced an even bigger challenge when he was diagnosed with both FIP and FIV. He had become lethargic, wasnt drinking much water, and was experiencing weakness in his back legs. What followed was an 84-day journey of treatment that included a combination of painful injections and oral medication. Through it all, Wallee was an absolute champion. He never stopped being sweet, loving, and trusting, even when we were constantly poking, prodding, medicating, and treating him. His recovery has been nothing short of amazing. At the time of his FIP diagnosis, Wallee weighed just 8.9 pounds. By the end of December, he had reached 11 pounds, and an ultrasound in late January showed that the abdominal fluid present at diagnosis was completely gone. The weakness in his back legs resolved, his bright eyes returned, and his enthusiasm for mealtime became legendary. By May, this hearty eater had worked his way up to an impressive 14 pounds! Wallee is truly a trooper. No matter what life has thrown at him, he has handled it with grace, patience, and endless affection. He greets his people with head bumps, kisses, and plenty of conversation. This handsome guy loves to talk and always seems to have a story to tell. Whether he is announcing that its mealtime, sharing his thoughts on the day, or simply asking for attention, Wallee is never shy about making his voice heard. His loving personality has won over everyone he meets including his veterinary team. During one visit, his clinic noted that Wallee was a sweet perfect angel who could never do anything wrong. We already knew that, but Wallee is pretty proud to have it officially documented in his medical record! Wallee is FIV positive, but that doesn't stop him from living a happy, healthy life. Cats with FIV can live long lifespans and can successfully live with non-FIV cats in stable households, as FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds and not through normal, friendly interactions. If you're looking for a resilient, affectionate companion with a heart of gold and plenty of stories to share, Wallee may just be your perfect match. Wallee is approximately 2.5 years old, fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. He is being fostered in Sun Prairie. His adoption fee is $125.
