Rusty is a 2 year old boy who was rescued by our friends with SCRATCH. He initially suffered a fractured pelvis that caused nerve damage and eventually required the amputation of his back right leg. He was fostered until he was fully healed. Adjusting from life outdoors while injured to indoor living and extensive medical care was a big change for him, but he has come a long way. Now at PPC, Rutsy is once again settling into new a new indoor space. He is very cautious and shy of new people, but continues to love a Churu treat and will willinly take the gift from our staff. He even comes out to show us his playful side, now, which is super cool to see! He is a sweet boy who will thrive with a patient adopter willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe and comfortable. And Rusty loves other cats so will do great in a home with other felines. We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only. The adoption fee is $85 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
