At not even a year old, Ivy Rose was found tied to a tree in a wooded area and left behind. She was little more than skin and bones, covered in fleas, and completely at the mercy of the elements. It's hard to understand how anyone could abandon such a sweet pup. Had she not been found, her story likely would have ended in heartbreak. Today this precious girl is thriving in her foster home. At just under 11 months old and a petite 16 pounds, she's the perfect size for just about any adventure, whether that's a walk around the neighborhood, a road trip, or a cozy evening curled up on the couch. Ivy Rose loves other dogs, especially those willing to play. She blossoms around canine friends and would be thrilled to have a playful companion in her forever home. She's submissive, gentle, and eager to please, with the kind of temperament that makes everyone fall in love with her. She's the type of dog who doesn't ask for muchjust kindness, affection, and a place where she finally belongs. Sadly, Ivy tested positive for heartworms when she came into rescue. It's heartbreaking that a puppy this young was already carrying a preventable disease due to neglect.
