About Tessa

Meet Tessa. Tessa is an adorable 1-year-old female Chinese Crested and Shih Tzu mix, ready to find her forever home! Having come from a backyard breeding seizure involving over 70 dogs, she has an optimistic spirit despite her challenging background. Tessa is energetic and loves having fun, whether it’s playing with toys, exploring the yard, or racing around with her dog friends. Currently not fully potty trained, she will thrive with a patient adopter willing to continue her training and support her adjustment to home life. She does well with other dogs and would appreciate a canine buddy to romp with. However, she hasn’t been tested with cats or children yet. Due to her unique needs, experience with her breed is necessary. Tessa is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s heartworm negative and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. To start the adoption process, submit an application. If approved, you'll be invited for a meet and greet. This process isn't first-come, first-served; we focus on finding the best matches. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
