Meet Camille. Camille is a lovely gray tabby, roughly 2-4 years old, seeking a unique forever home. Initially found during a TNVR project in a Columbus colony, Camille's life has been shaped by hardship. After undergoing surgery to remove her damaged eye, she's now in recovery, but her past has left her shy and uncertain about close human interaction. Despite this, Camille is calm, gentle, and quietly observant. She takes her time to adjust and feels safest when she has space. In her foster home, she's made some progress, yet she prefers solitude rather than rushing into human contact. On the verge of being returned to her colony, she surprised us by choosing to stay in her carrier, signaling her desire for a different path. She deserves to find a peaceful indoor home where she can settle in at her own pace and be loved for who she is. Camille needs an adopter who understands that trust is built over time. Although she may not be the cat that immediately engages with visitors or seeks out cuddles, there’s a sweet soul beneath her fear. She’s endured much—surviving outdoors, raising kittens, and facing numerous challenges alone. Now it's her time to feel safe and loved. Camille is fully vetted and ready for her forever home.
