Rusty is an altered male Domestic Short Hair cat, around 10-11 years old. He has a short coat and sports a beautiful tabby coloring in orange and red. This x-large boy weighs 22 lbs and is house trained. Rusty is fully vaccinated and is looking for a comfortable indoor home where he can thrive.

About Rusty

Rusty is a senior gentleman around 10-11 years old who recently found himself back at the shelter when his elderly owner fell ill. This mellow tabby cat has a friendly disposition but has been accustomed to life as the only pet. Heโ€™s a bit choosy about his feline friends, doing better with female cats than males. If the right lady cat comes along, Rusty might be open to sharing space, as long as thereโ€™s room for a little independence and no pressure for deep friendship. While he hasn't been around children, he seems to prefer a quieter, adult-only home that can cater to his need for a peaceful environment. He weighs in at 22 lbs, so Rusty will need a dedicated adopter to help him shed some weight and stay healthy. The right match is out there for this sweet boy, and he deserves it! All of our cats are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for fleas, dewormed, and microchipped. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
