About Olive

Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue Meow meet Olive! She’s a beautiful 3 year old calico with a gentle heart and a quiet soul. We don’t know all of Olive’s story, but we do know she is one remarkable mama. As a stray, Olive gave birth to a whopping six kittens beneath a trailer home and somehow managed to keep every one of them safe. When her babies were about 5 weeks old, the little family was rescued together, giving them a chance at a brighter future. Olive is a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys pets and kind attention. She can be a little shy at first, and though longs for love and affection she may need some time to fully settle into a new home. She just simply wants to feel safe and be loved. She gets along well with other cats, dogs, and would do best in a home with respectful older children who understand that sometimes the sweetest friendships take time to grow. There is something especially touching about Olive. After surviving life outdoors and raising six kittens, she asks for so little - just patience, kindness, and a place where she can finally relax and let someone else take care of her for a change. Olive spent months being everything her babies needed.now she’s hoping someone will choose her and show her what it feels like to be someone’s baby for once!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it. We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year. Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info.
