Callie is a gorgeous 1-year-old calico with a confident, independent spirit and plenty of personality. She was recently returned to rescue after spending about six months in a home where she struggled to get along with the resident older cats. Because of this, we think Callie may thrive as a solo cat or possibly with younger, playful feline companions who can better match her energy and play style. This smart girl definitely knows her name and comes running when she's called, especially if she thinks there might be attention or treats involved! Callie has done well with older children and would likely make a wonderful companion for a family that appreciates her independent nature. Her experience with dogs is currently unknown. Like many calicos, Callie can be a bit spirited and sometimes plays rough with other cats, so careful introductions and appropriate feline companions are important. She has been eating a 'sensitive stomach' kibble diet and has done well on it. She may also benefit from a covered or high-sided litter box to help keep her litter area comfortable and tidy. Callie is looking for a home that understands her unique personality. In return, you'll get a beautiful, intelligent companion who will greet you when you call her name and keep life interesting every day.
