Murphy is the kind of dog who fits beautifully into almost any adventure or quiet moment life has to offer. This sweet, affectionate boy absolutely loves to cuddle and settles into home life with ease. At night, he happily sleeps through the night right beside you without moving around much at all. While he enjoys affection and playtime, he also has a wonderfully calm side and is content entertaining himself. Murphy has done well with dogs, cats, kids, and even larger animals like horses, pigs, and goats. He plays positively with other dogs and is learning social cues nicely, taking corrections well and showing a submissive, respectful personality. Around cats, he is curious but gentle and does not chase, making him a great candidate for a home with feline friends given proper introductions. He has also been very sweet and gentle with children. This handsome boy enjoys staying active and would love a family that likes walks, hikes, or spending time outdoors. He can easily handle 2–3 mile hikes and especially enjoys exploring around the lake. He rides beautifully in the car, calmly staying wherever you place him for the duration of the trip. Murphy already knows "sit," is working on recall and "down," and has shown great progress with potty training. He has done well in the house without accidents and stays clean in his crate when left alone for several hours. While crate training is still a work in progress, he settles down after a little vocalizing and is not destructive. Murphy is truly a loving, adaptable, and well-rounded dog who is ready to bring companionship, adventure, and lots of cuddles to his future family.
