Summer Squash is a smaller boy with a sweet face, a great smile, and the kind of calm, easygoing personality that makes him incredibly easy to spend time with. Multiple volunteers described him as really sweet, gentle, and one of the easiest dogs to handle at the shelter. He sits nicely in his kennel, waits patiently for treats, and walks beautifully on leash with very little pulling. Summer Squash loves sniffing around and exploring at his own pace. He’s treat motivated, enjoys head scratches, and seems genuinely happy just getting outside and spending time with people. Volunteers described him as a fantastic "beginner volunteer" type dog because of how easy and pleasant he is to handle. He also appears potty trained, sits perfectly for treats, and has done well in dog interactions, mostly keeping to himself while maintaining healthy, appropriate greetings with other dogs. Honestly, Summer Squash just seems like a really GOOD dog. Sweet, steady, easy to manage, and ready for someone to finally take him home.
