Junebug has adjusted incredibly quickly in his foster home and is already stealing hearts left and right. He gets along beautifully with his 8-year-old Weimaraner foster brother and has shown himself to be impressively cat-friendly. The resident 5-year-old "kitty boss" is still warming up to him, and Junebug is handling it like a gentleman—curious but respectful, never chasing, and completely unfazed by an occasional hiss. He crates easily and sleeps through the night without issue, is great in the car, and allows toys and chewies to be taken from him without complaint. Junebug loves treats, is a quick learner, and walks fairly well on leash—though he can pull with excitement when he sees other dogs (he just wants to say hi!). He’s doing well with house-training, especially as he continues to settle into a routine. True to his name, Junebug is pure sunshine: extra snuggly, bouncy, playful, and endlessly affectionate. He’s done great with neighborhood kids (8 years and up) and is friendly with every human and dog he meets. He’s still learning personal-space manners, but every interaction comes from a place of love and enthusiasm. While he coexists happily with his older foster sibling—who clearly adores him—Junebug would truly thrive in a home with another dog closer to his age and energy level who can keep up with his playful spirit and love of wrestling and zoomies.
